Line Cook at Acme Feed & Seed

SHIFT DETAILS

MID: 10 AM to 6 PM PM: 2 PM to close (typically between 10 PM and midnight) Availability on Saturday and Sunday is required, and an additional 2 days per week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is cooked and presented in a timely manner and meets the restaurant's quality standards. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. Assist in the preparation and portioning of ingredients for use in cooking. Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and mixers safely and efficiently. Monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages to the kitchen manager or supervisor. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper storage procedures are followed. I participate in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils. Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. 1+ years’ experience as a cook in a full‑service restaurant ServeSafe Certified a plus

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Airport: This position operates in a climate‑controlled international airport environment. The temperature, volume of noise, and exposure to the public are outside the control of First Meridian Services, Inc. The position requires use of public spaces as provided by the airport. Restaurant: This position may require frequent exposure to a restaurant or retail operation environment. Regular exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold/freezing), fumes, vapors, industrial restaurant equipment, noise, and guests will be a common occurrence.
