About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Quality to lead and oversee quality, compliance, and performance improvement initiatives within a hospital setting. This role is responsible for driving clinical excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct departmental activities to achieve organizational quality and performance objectives
- Develop and implement quality improvement plans, policies, and procedures
- Oversee patient care quality, compliance, and performance metrics
- Lead and manage internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets and resource allocation
- Supervise staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and development
- Foster a culture of professional growth and continuous improvement
- Integrate evidence-based practices into clinical and operational processes
- Manage complaint resolution and service quality initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
- BLS certification preferred
- Strong background in healthcare quality, compliance, and regulatory standards
- Proven leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to handle complex and sensitive situations
- Proficiency in computer applications (Excel, reporting tools, documentation systems)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes
- Onsite role in a hospital environment
- Exposure to clinical settings and healthcare-related risks
- May require minimal travel (up to 10%)
- Standard daytime schedule
