Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.What You Will Do:The Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Coatings will develop and qualify new processes to meet or exceed delivery and quality targets, and assist in manufacturing readiness for these processes at HSMC sites in Asheville NC, East Hartford CT, and Middletown NY.The candidate will work across the module center by demonstrating technical project management, interpersonal and team skills, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements.Define future process needs to provide the highest yield and lowest cost to meet product definition. Including equipment needs, tooling, and inspection for future state processesParticipate in testing at factory and site acceptance of new equipment designsDevelopment of production processes, work instructions, quality requirements, and regulatory requirementsDesign and lead implementation of standardized engineering practices, processes, tools, and methodsLead Manufacturing Process in MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level) of new process to align with program requirementsKey member of the team to support implementation and execution of NPI to meet customer and financial requirementsPursue operational excellence as subject matter expert for next generation coating process; Drive product cost reduction and ensure targets are achieved through data driven process improvements and deployment of new technologies. Qualifications You Must Have:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or similar degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.3-5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing engineering or similar experienceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractQualifications We Prefer:Six Sigma green belt or equivalentExperience with coatings in a manufacturing settingPrior work experience in the Aerospace IndustryProject management experienceElectron Bean Physical Vapor Deposition or Vapor Phase AluminideWhat is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
