Step into an impactful contract role as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students across multiple schools near Cambridge, MA. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and make a meaningful difference in the academic and personal growth of children and adolescents. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and runs through June 15, 2027, providing stability and continuity for both you and your students.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid COTA license required
- Experience with pediatric or school-based caseloads strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
- Organized, flexible, and adaptable to support evolving student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions that promote students’ educational success
- Provide direct therapeutic services, focusing on supporting students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and functional life skills in an educational setting
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service professionals to establish goals and monitor student progress
- Accurately document service delivery, progress notes, and maintain compliance with district and state requirements
- Contribute to IEP meetings and provide insight on student needs and goals
