Inside Sales Representative

A-1 Affordable Construction  •  Clifton, NJ (on-site)

$75,000–$120,000/year — base up to $1,000/week plus 5% commission, uncapped

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

We're a 30-year-old chimney, roofing, masonry, and exterior construction company serving the Northeast, and we're adding one person to our inside sales team.

What makes this different from most sales jobs: no cold calling, no door knocking.

Our field technicians write estimates every day that need follow-up. Your job is to call those homeowners back, answer their questions, build trust, and help them move forward. Warm leads, inbound calls, repeat customers, and estimates that haven't closed yet — that's your day.

What you'd actually be doing: following up on open estimates and closing them, fielding inbound customer calls, staying in sync with the field crews so you know what was quoted and why, tracking your pipeline in our CRM, and checking back in after jobs wrap to keep customers happy and catch the next opportunity.

This is a software-driven role — you'll live in our CRM day to day, so comfort learning and working in sales software is a must.

The pay: base up to $1,000/week depending on experience, plus 5% commission on everything you sell, uncapped. Most of our salespeople land between $75,000 and $120,000, and the people who work the leads hardest earn the most. Several have been here more than ten years — that tells you most of what you need to know about how we treat the people who perform.

Who does well here: organized enough to work a pipeline without being chased, comfortable on the phone, and motivated by the fact that more effort means a bigger check. Construction experience helps but isn't required — we'll teach you the trade. The drive has to already be yours.
