This job was posted by : For more information, please see: NATURE OF WORK: Under general supervision, perform secretarial duties and related work as required or assigned. TYPICAL DUTIES: Take part in the development of procedures, operations, and special projects as assigned by the Supervisors; maintains reports and records; performs secretarial duties; Answers incoming calls; screens calls and transfers or directs calls to the appropriate personnel. Prepares expense warrants for distribution after Board approval for payment; verifies voucher numbers and amounts; makes notation of warrant numbers, approval dates and amounts on payment documents; stamps appropriate paperwork as paid; prepares warrants for mailing or pick up by departments. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Working Knowledge of: - records management operations; - statistical surveying techniques and their application; - guidelines, regulations, and statutes affecting the department; - word processors and microcomputer systems and other office machines; - principles and practices of general accounting; - principles and practices of supervision. Abilities to: - establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public; - follow written and verbal instructions; - communicate effectively verbally and in writing. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: \ High School Diploma or G.E.D. and four to five (4-5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience; OR any combination of training, education or experience which demonstrates the potential to perform the duties of the position. Current driver license.
