Database Engineer
Sanra Solutions
Develop & maintain database objects incl. stored procedures, triggers, scripts & NoSQL databases using JSON on cloud platforms such as AWS DynamoDB & IBM Cloudant; code logical & physical database descriptions within the database management system. Deploy & configure complex databases in virtual/cloud environments; develop ETL procedures using cloud-native features such as AWS DMS; migrate multiple SQL instances. Review SQL code for compliance; performance tuning, troubleshooting & development of database procedures & scripts. Write support programs & shell scripts to automate routine tasks & increase data storage capacity. Design & implement disaster recovery solutions & backup strategies; provide incident support in close collaboration with DevOps & infrastructure engineering teams. Reqs: Master's degree in Information Technology. In lieu of a Master's, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology plus 5 yrs of experience in the job offered.
