Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Knowledge of best practices and assistive technology for visually impaired students
• Experience creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration skills for working with families, general education staff, and specialists
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Previous school-based or pediatric setting experience is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative services tailored to each student’s IEP
• Develop and adapt instructional materials for accessibility
• Assess students’ vision-related educational needs and monitor progress
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student inclusion and success
• Provide guidance and training to staff and families regarding vision support strategies
