Your day-to-day involves leading APQP and PPAP processes, dialing in process capability, conducting internal audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to eliminate defects. The right candidate has spent at least seven years in automotive quality engineering, lives and breathes IATF 16949, and turns data from Minitab into actionable improvements. - You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related field)
- At least seven years of quality engineering experience in automotive manufacturing is required
- Deep expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and SPC is mandatory
- You must have worked in an IATF 16949 certified environment
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Proficiency with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation is essential

- Analyze process capability using Cp and Cpk data and drive improvements to meet targets
- Use root cause analysis methods like 5-Why, Fishbone, and DMAIC to resolve quality issues and reduce scrap
- Serve as the primary technical quality liaison for automotive customers, managing audits and performance reviews
- Mentor junior quality engineers and inspectors, promoting continuous improvement and accountability
- ASQ certification as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is preferred
- Proficiency with Minitab or similar statistical software gives candidates an edge
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and mold qualification is highly valued
- Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems helps integrate smoothly into the operation
- Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills set top applicants apart
- Hands-on experience with CMM, optical measurement systems, and gauges is a plus
- A proven history of reducing scrap and implementing cost-saving initiatives is desirable
