Operate the cash register during meal periods. Produce cash reports for lead associate. Assist with storage of food and equipment orders received from the central commissary and vendors. Assemble, serve and replenish food stations. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and health standards of facility and equipment. Wash pots, pans and cooking utensils. Perform other duties as required. The position may perform a variety of non‑essential functions consistent with the scope and intent of the position. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of successful food service work experience or 90 days as a Food Service Substitute. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to accurately and swiftly calculate the cost of multiple food items and make change. Ability to understand and use the cashiering system. Ability to accurately report sales and related data. Ability to accurately follow verbal and written directions and work at a moderately fast pace. Ability to effectively communicate with students, administrators and other school staff. Knowledge of and ability to operate institutional kitchen equipment and meal accountability system. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance. Certification and Licenses Tacoma-Pierce County Food Service Handlers Card. Successful completion of fingerprint and background check. Desirable Qualifications None. Working Conditions Work is performed both in a food kitchen and lunchroom facilities. Exposure to extreme heat and cold, moderate noise levels, cleaning chemicals, and sharp blades, and industrial food service equipment. Ability to lift 40 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds; standing for extended periods, walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and carrying items requiring a moderate amount of physical effort are all required. Conditions of Employment Employment with Clover Park School District is conditional pending completion of a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check as required by RCW 28A.400.303. All associated background check fees are the employee’s responsibility. The fingerprint scan must be completed prior to the first day of employment.
