Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Infusion RN with chemotherapy administration experience for an outpatient infusion center position requiring an active MA RN license.

Details

Work in a 25-chair ambulatory infusion center within a hospital and medical center

Care for adult patients with hematologic, oncologic, or medical diagnoses requiring outpatient infusion services

Unit sees approximately 60-110 patients per day, with each nurse assigned 2-3 infusion chairs per shift

Unit is attached to a hem/onc clinic with APP coverage provided by clinic staff

Schedule is 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week, with an every 3rd Saturday requirement

Shift hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

May float to a Peabody location based on staffing needs and date of last float, though floating is rare

Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

Active MA RN license required in hand

BLS certification (AHA) required

ONS chemotherapy provider card required

Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience required

Experience accessing and deaccessing IVADs required

Experience with PICC lines required

Experience starting peripheral IVs required

Experience with Alaris infusion pumps required

Prior travel experience preferred

Additional Information

Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, medical infusion administration, blood transfusions, phlebotomy, and use of CADD pumps for home infusion therapy

Orientation is 1 week, with required LHMC forms, learning modules, and competencies assigned prior to arrival

Any color scrubs permitted

Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health facilities for 6+ months and in good standing to be considered

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted for this position

RTO requests are not accepted at time of submission and will not be approved after placement

Required vaccinations include COVID-19 (plus booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
