Travel RN - PACU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU/PreOp-Endo RN for a 13-week assignment requiring prior endoscopy experience and active NC or compact RN licensure.

Endoscopy unit featuring Pre-Op, PACU, and Procedure Room areas

Four 9-hour day shifts scheduled Monday through Friday with start times varying by daily assignment

Pre-Op RNs typically work 0630-1600 or 0700-1630 with 2 RNs scheduled per day

PACU RNs typically work 0800-1730 or 0830-1800 with 3 RNs scheduled per day

Procedure RNs typically work 0730-1700 with 2 to 4 RNs scheduled per day

Unit has 8 Pre-Op beds, 6 PACU beds, and 4 procedure rooms with variable staffing of 12-16 based on case volume

Patient ratios vary based on case volume

Uses Olympus Scopes, ERBE, Medivator, ION, Boston Scientific, and Cook equipment

Cerner EMR used

One overnight call shift per week, beginning at the end of a scheduled 9-hour shift until 7am, or at 1700 on non-working days

Two weekend call shifts during a 6-week period, each 24 hours (0700-0700), which may fall on Saturdays, Sundays, or both

No floating required unless volunteered

Perform a variety of adult procedures including EGD, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, EBUS, bronchoscopy, ION navigational bronchoscopy, esophageal/duodenal/colonic/axios stent placements, PEG placement, tracheostomy placement, pulmonary cryo therapy, capsule endoscopy, and foreign body removal

Perform pediatric EGD, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy for patients ranging from under 1 to 18 years old

Green surgical scrubs are provided, with navy blue scrubs also acceptable

Block scheduling is not accommodated

Best suited for candidates not seeking to commute daily to a permanent residence

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered
