Supplier Quality Engineer

SQ Onsite ContractorThe SQ Onsite Contractor will play a key role in ensuring world-class performance of the client prototype and production supply base, and drive continuous improvement.Candidates with experience in working knowledge of vehicle harness manufacturing, wire harness diagram and EDI and IPC620 will be highly preferred.Responsibilities:Liaise between client SQ, IQC, Engineering and Supplier on key quality issuesReview the root cause analysis and help provide technical support if neededProvide onsite support to validate the implementation of containments & corrective actionsAssess the new/late product design changes and to provide remote support to client SQ & VSE to help certify the implementationEnsure continuous flow of information to both ways - to client SQ on all quality issues and share critical client requirements to supplierReview prototype and production part quality document submissions from suppliers, and provide feedbackDevelop prototype Control Plan and PFMEA, and perform regular audits, and drive gap closuresDrive continuous improvement throughout the supply base using quality and lean manufacturing toolsImprove client supplier quality processes such as assessments, supplier management, part approval, and corrective actionsRequirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing, in the automotive, aviation, or medical device industriesExperience in New Product Introduction (NPI) - Experience creating and improving quality systemsExperience using problem-solving techniques such as Six-Sigma, 8-Discipline, Pareto Charts, Regression Analysis, ANOVA, DOE, Fish Bone Analysis, Red-X, Is / Is NotExperience using quality analysis and control tools such as Process Flow Diagrams, Process FMEAs, Process Control Plans, SPC, MSA, Process CapabilityExperience in manufacturing processes such as PCB/PCBA, wiring harnesses, electro mechanical assemblies and electrical componentsWorking knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and TolerancingWorking knowledge of Quality Systems such as ISO 9000 and IATF 16949 - Certifications such as ASQ, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Six Sigma Black BeltFully literate in Microsoft computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPointEducation:Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degreeWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
