Staff Physical Therapist, part time - Acute Care

Position Summary Staff Physical Therapist, part time - Acute Care. Evaluate physical therapy needs and implement comprehensive, medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to assigned patients in a supervised program of rehabilitation. Job Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Initial Assessment and Evaluation of Physical Therapy needs for assigned patient populations; reviews medical chart, clarifies referral/treatment orders, selects appropriate assessment tools, determines patient status, and develops optimal treatment plan. Implements Treatment Plans and Protocols according to professional and health system standards; establishes achievable goals with patient and family; selects technical aids/assistive devices; refers patients to other clinical services; provides education and training. Completes all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement, following Department guidelines and JACHO/CARF requirements. Participates in Clinical Education of fieldwork students and other professional educational endeavors; teaches and supervises assigned students. Provides expected patient contact as indicated by productivity reports and patient contact analysis. Maintains continued proficiency in skills required to treat assigned patient population. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit, Good communication and interpersonal skills, BLS or CPR/AED certification upon entry. Required Licenses Phys Thrpst Temp Permit-NYS, Phys Thrpst License-NYS Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $54.19 - $54.19 hourly.
