Job Summary:

The operating room (OR) nursing position is located in Walla Walla, Washington, at a short-term acute care facility with a Level III Trauma Center designation. This role involves circulating duties in the OR, supporting various surgical specialties including general, orthopedics, neurology, gynecology, obstetrics (C-section), ENT, plastics, vascular, and eyes. The position requires candidates to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The work schedule consists of 8-hour shifts alternating between morning and evening hours, with on-call duties required one weeknight per week and every sixth weekend.

• Shift Hours: 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM), alternating based on operational needs
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact RN license (required at time of submission), BLS certification, 1 year of charge experience, trauma level experience, teaching hospital experience, EMR experience with Epic, Meditech, and Cerner
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, trauma level experience, teaching hospital experience, EMR experience with Epic, Meditech, and Cerner
• Special Requirements: Previous OR circulating experience, familiarity with specialized surgical procedures and equipment such as Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, Mako Surgical System, and XLIF. Candidates must be prepared to float within the facility.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, alternating mornings and evenings, with on-call duties as specified
• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared for float within the facility; the traveler must wait three months before submitting as a traveler; all documentation including RTO (Request for Time Off) and licensing must be confirmed prior to submission
• Submission Requirements: Confirmation of previous OR charge experience (minimum 1 year), trauma level experience, and EMR experience with Epic, Meditech, and Cerner. References covering one year within the last three years are required. Candidates should not reach out directly to facility contacts unless coordinated through the agency.
