Production Supervisor

Job Responsibilities & Requirements Lead and ensure safety compliance in the assigned area and in accordance with company requirements and best practices. Ensure work meets specifications by reviewing blueprints, monitoring welding procedures (WPS), and coordinating inspections with CWI/QA and assisting with machine set‑ups. Ensure work orders jobs are being completed and received correctly in the MRP system to reflect accurate inventory on subassemblies and finished goods. Consistently lead teams to meet production and/or shipping goals to meet or exceed customer demand. Monitor inventory levels necessary to complete production schedules and report discrepancies and additional requirements as necessary. Direct, assist and evaluate team members in both daily and long‑term requirements and goals. Monitor and maintain efficiencies to achieve best cost and on‑time delivery. Prioritize issues, analyze situations and implement effective corrective actions. Provide workflow management, planning, analysis, and training necessary to operate the department in a clean, safe and productive manner. Review and approve employee time and schedules, including overtime management. Compute amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisition materials from the storage area. Leadership Responsibilities Responsible for the professional development of team members, playing a key role to guide, coach, and provide constructive feedback to support team members to reach their full potential, conduct performance reviews and address daily production issues. Qualifications College degree preferred/not required. Solid understanding of how MRP systems work (QAD, SAP, etc.). 1‑2 years of experience leading a team required / 3 years of experience leading a team preferred. 3‑5 years of direct experience in hands‑on welding/fabrication operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, One Note, etc.). Strong communication, problem‑solving, organizational, and decision‑making skills. Physical Demands This role is primarily performed in a factory and is exposed to temperature changes. This will result in being exposed to noise, vibration, chemicals/fumes, and navigating around factory machines. A portion of this role will be performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.
