Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to meet both short-term objectives and the long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs of your patients.
• Implement speech therapy interventions that enhance communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing mechanisms.
• Team up with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to construct unified care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on tailored exercises to support progress in between therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout each patient's journey.
• Keep comprehensive and timely documentation that meets the standards of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of advancements within the field.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Candidates must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
