Job Summary

The Food Service Assistant provides support with increased food service volume, assists during peak mealtimes, serves customers, and provides coverage for team members as needed.

Job Description

• Support the increase in food service stations and cafeteria food items following the opening of the West End Cafe.
• Assist with the increased volume of food and dirty pots and pans.
• Provide coverage for other caregivers who are on leave of absence, vacation, or scheduled days off.
• Provide additional support during peak mealtimes, including serving customers.
• Provide ongoing support to the cafeteria team as needed after the cafe opens.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school graduation or its equivalent

Additional requirements

• Shift start time: 6am; Weekend requirement
• Uniform: The department will provide the Eat-brand uniform top.
• Employee will need to provide their own black scrub pants. Black cargo pants are acceptable; jeans, yoga pants, and tight leggings are not permitted.
• Employee must provide waterproof or water-resistant, skid-proof footwear.

Pay Rate

• $17.00 per hour
