Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent preferred Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy

Clinical Skills:

• Taking vital signs
• Performing Point-of-Care Testing
• Performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and other diagnostic tests
• Assisting with minor procedures
• Ensuring infection control and safety protocols

Administrative Skills:

• Scheduling patient appointments and managing calendars
• Maintaining patient records and documentation
• Processing insurance claims and verifying patient eligibility
• Coordinating referrals and pre-authorizations
• Handling medical inventory
