Staffing: 45 Staff Members

Staff Details

• Day Shift: 4 Day RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 2 Mid-Shift RNs, 1 Mid-Shift Unit Clerk, 1 EMT
• Night Shift: 4 Night RNs, 1 Night EMT, 1 Night Charge Nurse
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (5:1 during surge)

Technology and Equipment

Type of Equipment: GE Monitors

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech / CPN

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of current hospital ED experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC certifications
• CPI Blue Card
• PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC

Preferred Skills:

• CEN certification
• CPEN/US IV competency
• Pediatric Emergency Department experience

Typical Procedures

• Port access
• IV start
• Venipuncture and nasal wash
• Point of care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip)
• EKG and Foley placement
