CNA Supervisor

Status: Full-time Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday Days. Position also requires working every other weekend, participating in a rotating holiday schedule, and providing hands‑on support by working two floor shifts each week. Job Summary: As a CNA Supervisor & Nursing Scheduler, you'll make a meaningful impact on both resident care and employee success. This unique leadership role combines nursing staff scheduling with frontline supervision of our Certified Nursing Assistants. You'll ensure the right staff are in the right place at the right time while coaching, mentoring, and supporting CNAs to provide outstanding care. Working scheduled direct care shifts each week allows you to keep your clinical skills current, lead by example, and provide hands‑on guidance to your team. Responsible for supervising and verifying completion of the comprehensive orientation checklist and oversight of newly hired certified nursing assistants. Perceptive in determining any additional orientation needs of new hires prior to holding an assignment. Work in partnership with and reports to the DON to promote best practice care, support continuing education, emotional support, and peer CNA coaching when applicable. Take part in or designate others to attend the Quality Improvement programs to include care planning meetings, QAPI, Safety Committee meetings, Weight Committee meetings, Fall Committee meetings, Psychotropic Meetings and other meetings assigned by DON/Administrator. Responsible for daily audits of overall CNA cares and documentation (i.e., peri checks, bathing, transfers, etc.) Portrays and maintains a positive attitude and influence as a role model for the employees and other staff. Communicates and collaborates with DON to support and facilitate positive progress workflow and positive resident outcome. Works directly with DON to initiate and implement skills fair or other education to support peer competency. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and or supporting the nursing assistant schedule. Initial orientation for all new nursing assistants, which includes first-day orientation to the floor, initial training check‑ins and 30‑day, 60‑day and 90‑day check‑ins. Collaborate with Human Resources and DON regarding nursing assistant hiring needs, candidates, hiring and screening candidates and recruitment. Work with DON and Human Resources to ensure that all required training is completed. Liaison with the CNA task force supporting efforts and time needed for the committee. Support collaborates with DON for CNA meeting. Qualifications: Required: Must be a CNA for minimum of 6 months. Must maintain an exceptional attendance record according to employee handbook guidelines. Must be current with all expected education. Must be dependable. Can work up to 16 hours on the floor to support critical needs. (The DON and/or Administrator are responsible for this decision.) Must be able to work all shifts as needed to support staff and workflow. Must have a positive outlook and exceptional ability to work with others. Must have exceptional job knowledge.
