Maintenance Specialist

Job Title: Maintenance Specialist Location: Warsaw, Indiana, United States of America Hourly Rate: $44.67/hr This position is under a Collective Bargaining Agreement in a union environment. Job Summary Perform maintenance on all mechanical and electrical components of manufacturing and processing equipment, including physical, plumbing, and carpentry vehicles. Repair and maintain all mechanical and electrical equipment. Maintain all auxiliary equipment, buildings, and grounds. Execute work directed by the Maintenance Supervisor; set up and operate machines to repair or fabricate parts; operate cutting and welding equipment. Unload, move, install equipment, and operate forklifts and company vehicles. Record maintenance work performed; interpret blueprints and/or CAD drawings. Duties & Responsibilities Move material as requested and ensure quality of work. Perform basic maintenance of equipment, housekeeping, and 6S activities. Read and apply processes, criteria, and required procedures. Work safely, following safety, regulatory, and environmental rules. Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to next management level. For supervisors, ensure subordinates follow health, safety, and environmental practices and have necessary resources. Ensure personal and company compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience & Education High school education or equivalent. Ability to work with complex drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, shop mathematics, and precision instruments. Broad knowledge of mechanical equipment, electricity, plumbing, carpentry, construction; experience with PLCs and groundskeeping; acquired through four-year accredited apprenticeship or eight+ years diversified industrial maintenance experience. Ability to read, understand, and apply relevant codes, including electrical codes and safety practices. Must obtain and maintain forklift operator accreditation.
