Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the Chief of Surgery, Vascular Surgeons, and Oncology Surgeons, taking on the role of a First Assist in the OR while also supporting patients pre and post-surgery in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a First Assist during surgeries
• Provide pre-operative assessments and post-operative care
• Assist with patient management and clinic duties
• Participate in inpatient rounds as required
• Facilitate communication with referring and primary care providers for continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active New York State Physician Assistant license
• National Certification (NCCPA)
• DEA license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent clinical evaluation and communication abilities
• Comfort working in diverse surgical and clinical settings
