Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Smyrna, TN – offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Pay Driver Position Pay: $1350 or more per week Hourly Pay: $29.00 per hour Hours per week: 40+ hours Per diem pay: $50.00 per night, 3 nights per week Overnights for route in Ryder booked hotel Schedule: Monday – Friday; Saturday as needed Start time: Dispatch between midnight and 4:00 AM Route & Equipment Deliver SOLO To: TN, MS, IL, KY, AR Route: Regional; out every other night Tractor type: Day Cab Trailer type: Dry Van 53’ Equipment: Hand cart Freight: Touch – Retail goods Unload only Benefits Medical, dental & vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO first year, starting Day1 Boot allowance provided Drivers are the captain – make safety decisions, job protected 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility criteria) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass Ryder drug test Pass Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Pass DOT physical Pass Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position ClassA verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within past 3 years, or 2 years’ experience within last 5 years, or 5 years’ experience within last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines Detecting and minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading of freight if required by customer Performs other duties as assigned Equal Opportunity Statement Ryder is proud to be an equal‑opportunity employer and drug‑free workplace.
