Childcare Lead Teacher

Les Enfants in Palisades Park is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support our PreK! To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, an AA and at least 12 credits in ECE or a CDA and at least 12 credits in ECE and the ability to pass all background checks and have previous childcare experience. Our Hiring Process: Resume screen Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes) On-site interview with Center Director (30-60 minutes) Q&A Classroom observation Offer Main Job Responsibilities: Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides. Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of childcare and child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently. Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children. Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom. Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May. Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role. Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
