Required Skills:

• Experience: Total 12+ years of experience as database admin; proven experience as a Snowflake Admin for 6+ years.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL, database management, and performance tuning.
• Tools: Experience with Snowflake, ETL tools, and monitoring tools.
• Certifications: Snowflake certification is a plus.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer Snowflake databases and warehouses for multiple environments, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
• Implement and maintain database security by creating roles, users, and managing access controls.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies.
• Plan and execute database maintenance tasks.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of Snowflake databases and SQL queries.
• Implement best practices for efficient data storage and query execution.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Set up and manage monitoring tools and alerts for Snowflake environments.
• Generate and analyze reports on database performance, usage, and capacity planning.
• User Support and Training: Provide support to application developers and end-users for Snowflake-related issues.
• Conduct training sessions for teams on Snowflake best practices and usage.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Snowflake configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for common issues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data architects, data engineers, and other stakeholders to design and implement scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support data initiatives and projects.
• Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits of database security and performance.
