Location 501 N 44TH ST,Phoenix, AZ, 85018-4246,United States Other Compensation Quality, Patient Experience and wRVU Bonus Job Category Provider Employee Type FT Exempt Required Degree Doctorate Travel 25% Description The Pain Management Physician leads patient-centered treatment plans focused on the evaluation and management of chronic pain. This role involves close collaboration with patients, referring providers, and a multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based care. Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized pain management treatment plans for patients with chronic pain conditions. Perform minimally invasive fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided procedures such as injections, epidurals, radiofrequency ablation, nerve blocks, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulator trials, and minimally invasive spinal interventions as appropriate including kyphoplasty, stimulator implants, intrathecal pump implants, minimally invasive lumbar decompression, and minimally invasive sacroiliac joint fusions. Prescribe medications and implement non-pharmacological pain management strategies. Collaborate with physical therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive pain treatment plans. Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as necessary. Educate patients on pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and comply with regulatory guidelines. Ensure compliance with opioid prescribing regulations, pain management protocols, and quality care standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated on advancements in pain management treatments. All other duties as assigned. Requirements MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pain Management, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), or Neurology, or Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Valid state medical license (must be active before the first day of employment). Active DEA Registration. Two (2) years clinical practice experience in Pain Management preferred. New fellowship grad applications may be considered. Fellowship training in Pain Medicine (Required) - ACGME approved fellowship. Current ACLS certification. 2 Professional References.
