We are looking for a Project Assistant in the field of construction. This person will work in Lake Havasu area under the guidance of a supervisor. They’ll get hands-on experience they can use for a life time. We’re seeking someone that enjoys doing manual labor and considers themselves to be helpful. This person will be a go-getter who is comfortable dealing with power tools outside and inside. This person would be both motivated and dependable. Prior building experience is advantageous, but not necessary. You will need customer service and communication skills in order to deal efficiently with all clients and co-workers. Must be a team Player and works well with other teammates. Must have physical strength to be able to lift or carry materials. Climb ladders with material on shoulders etc. Pick up bags of cement.

Job Responsibilities

• Completes assigned jobs according to company processes and standards, maintains quality control and safety.
• Pick up and deliver materials and supplies for job sites. Truck and trailer hauling.
• Interface out in the field with Homeowners and inspectors in a professional manner.
• Muti-tasks assignments with numerous conditions at multiple locations.
• General knowledge of Construction.
• Experience with hand / power tools. Have own tools but as well as company ones.
• Arriving on time ready to work. Work Boots, good attitude.
• Maintain a clean work work environment. Company Vehicles/tools in order.
• Valid Drivers’ License and satisfactory driving record. (has previous experience pulling, backing up trailers)

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
• Load and unload equipment and materials.
• Frequent exposure to outside hot/cold/humid temperatures.

Skills:

• A willingness to learn new things, attention to details, the ability to follow instructions.
• Should have a strong self-motivation/work ethic; ability to work with or without direct supervision.
• Must be on time and be dependable.
• Create or provide general contracting services.
• Work as a team member and utilize materials safely.
• Good time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly motivated and demonstrating excellent physical dexterity.
• Able to use a variety of hand tools and power tools including picks, shovels, sharp-shooters, pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, bolt cutters, pavement saws, jack hammers, air guns, etc.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to pull and back up trailers.
• Can be a physical job. If you can not lift 70lbs, have bad backs, knees, shoulders this may not be for you.
