Job Description

Step into an engaging school-based speech-language pathology opportunity near Pekin, IL, supporting Pre-K through 1st grade students. This contract position runs from August 5th through May 20th, with a consistent schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Use your expertise to make a meaningful difference in young learners’ communication skills while working collaboratively with dedicated educational professionals.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current Speech Language Pathologist license
Previous experience in a school environment
Familiarity with early childhood development (PK–1st grade preferred)
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Commitment to fostering student growth and success

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive speech-language evaluations and therapy to students in Pre-K through 1st grade
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective IEPs
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, child-centered school environment
Offer consultative support and resources to families and staff
Stay informed on best practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology
