Job Description At Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public places such as break rooms. Success Criteria Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures Perform work assignments in a team with other employees Maintain clean work area Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules Take direction and respond to supervision Communicate professionally with the lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers. Fill in during staff shortage Support shift lead in completing punch-list items Use proper personal protective equipment Present a professional appearance and conduct Understand customer service and satisfaction Understand reporting systems and the environment Instilling trust Critical Areas Of Collaboration And Influence A solid commitment to the guest experience Always remember safety first Build respectful relationships with all teammates and guests Willingness to take directions from the Facility Manager, Key Account Manager, or District Manager Coordinate activities with other internal departments Participate in team meetings Ideal Candidate Experience High School diploma or equivalent education. Minimum 1 year experience in floor care. Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance. Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers. Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred. Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment. Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills. Key Accountabilities Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use Before beginning work, secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users. Floors care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
