Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/20/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. The Staff RN will accept responsibility for the direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. All duties and responsibilities will be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process. Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway. Educate patients and families/significant others from admission through the discharge process. Document the nursing process/pathway thoroughly, concisely, accurately, and legibly. Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status. Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely. Implement physician orders as written. Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and report malfunctions to the appropriate department. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Completion of an accredited nursing program leading to a Diploma, Associate degree (ADN), or Bachelor’s degree (BSN) in Nursing. Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio. Current CPR certification required. Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to problem-solve and handle multiple priorities. Demonstrates critical thinking skills and the ability to make independent decisions. Schedule Days shift available. Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
