Job Summary: Seattle Medical Post Acute Careis currently seekinga Laundry Aide/Housekeeper that is responsible for the daily preparation, quality control of linen distributed and providing daily housekeeping services to maintain the Center's safety, sanitation, and attractive condition. Essential Functions: Follows and completes cleaning schedules Observes proper infection control standards Performs janitorial tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness Maintains equipment used in performing duties Acts as a Mandatory Reporter Follows written policies and procedures of the Laundry Department Linen sorting, washing, folding Observes infection control standards in the handling of linens and clothing. Sorts and washes soiled linens. Hangs or lays out garments Folds, counts, and stacks linen Presses or hand irons articles as required. Inspects linen for wear and tear. Care and use of equipment and supplies, and cleanliness of work area. Operates washers and dryers Cleans dryer lint traps. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to take initiative and show good judgment. Ability to become familiar with the physical arrangement of the Center.
