Job Overview Job Title: TEMPORARY – Professional GT Support Services Location: Advanced Academic Studies Date Posted: 8/27/2025 Reports To: Building Principal and Advanced Academic Studies Director Classification: Temporary Wage/Hour Status: Exempt Salary: See Compensation Plan - Temporary Responsibilities Assist campus personnel with implementing on‑campus PGP program, making necessary accommodations for differences in student learning style. Assist Advanced Academics Department and campus personnel with GT testing. Work cooperatively with staff to determine assessment goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements. Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of the school district. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students; manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities; assist in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials. Establish and maintain open communication with colleagues, students, parents, and community members; use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out‑of‑state teaching certificate appropriate for the position preferred. Special Knowledge/Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; insightful, flexible, and creative; proficient in the effective use of technology; ability to instruct students and manage their behavior; fluent in English (speaking and writing); bilingual a plus. Equipment Used Computer, ACTIV Board, copy machine, and audio‑visual machines. Working Conditions Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. This position requires regular in‑person interaction with the public. Physical Demands: Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
