As a Practice Support, you will be responsible for patient facing, non-clinical, Practice Support functions, within a CenterWell care center.

Location : CenterWell Senior Primary Care office address: 2955 Brownwood Blvd, The Villages, FL 32163

Practice Support Role Overview:

• Navigate proficiently through EHR system.
• Schedule patients appropriately and accurately utilizing schedule software.

• Use customer service principles and techniques to assist patients calmly and professionally.
• Serve as a point of contact for patients entering and leave the care center.
• Manage new patient process per current workflow.
• Collect all payments due at time-of-service.
• Communicate with other departments as needed.
• Pre-visit planning including conducting insurance verification and eligibility for services, updating patient demographics, and communicating with patients to resolve insurance verification discrepancies.
• Ensure all documents are processed accurately per policies and procedures.
• Comply with compliance and privacy and security policies and ensuring all HIPAA protocols are followed to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Reconcile patient payments and verify with the daily financials.

Additional Information

Required
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures and overall understanding of medical office flow.
• Proficient skills in computer programs.
• Operate standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, calculators, etc.

Preferred
• Some college.
• One year clerical/billing experience in a healthcare organization.
