Shape the uptime of a state‑of‑the‑art corrugation operation

Pro Services, Inc. is hiring an experienced Electrical & Controls Maintenance Technologist to support our customer’s brand‑new corrugated packaging facility in Newark, OH. You’ll be the go‑to expert for high‑speed equipment reliability, electrical diagnostics up to 480V 3‑phase, and PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley and Siemens) in a modern production environment known for its strong team culture, stability, and long‑term career paths.

A day in the life

Step onto a spotless production floor, sync up with operations, and prioritize the day’s work orders. You’ll dive into live diagnostics on drives and sensors, interpret schematics, run preventive checks to keep uptime high, and collaborate with engineering on improvements. When a fault hits, you’ll move fast—isolating issues, reading prints, and restoring equipment safely. Throughout the shift, you’ll document work to GMP standards and support continuous improvement in a facility built for the long haul.

What you’ll tackle
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems quickly and safely.
  • Troubleshoot automated equipment and associated controls to root cause.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on electro‑mechanical assets to minimize downtime and boost reliability.
  • Work to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while completing all maintenance activities.
  • Own, maintain, and troubleshoot:
    • General electrical and control systems (motor starters, lighting, power distribution, industrial controls)
    • PLC platforms (Allen Bradley & Siemens)
    • AC/DC variable speed drives and motors
    • Process instrumentation and control (transmitters, control valves, loops, DCS)
    • Process variables (temperature, pressure, flow, pH, etc.)
    • Analytical problem solving using electrical prints and troubleshooting manuals
About you
  • 4+ years troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V 3‑phase.
  • 3+ years hands‑on with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
  • Deep knowledge of circuits, sensors, control systems, and automation.
  • Fluent in reading/interpreting schematics, diagrams, and system drawings; able to draft circuits.
  • Comfortable performing detailed machine audits; strong diagnostic, analytical, and hands‑on aptitude.
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams is a plus.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative crew; exceptional communication and attention to detail.

Minimum qualifications
  • 4+ years of automation/controls troubleshooting with mechanical and electrical aptitude; strong with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes.
  • Experience helping plan electrical requirements for new equipment installs.
  • 4+ years of electro‑mechanical maintenance in industrial/manufacturing, including repair of shafts, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, drives, and 3‑phase power.
  • Solid background in hydraulics and pneumatics.
Preferred
  • Corrugator Machine production maintenance experience with controls/drive systems and full wet/dry end troubleshooting.
  • Prior work in a GMP environment.

Compensation & schedule
  • $31–$35 per hour
  • Shift Premium: $0.40
  • Shifts available: 2nd or 3rd
