Data Entry Specialist Join a dynamic team as a Data Entry Specialist where you will play a crucial role in managing high-volume order entry and customer service in a life sciences company. This position offers a hybrid work schedule in San Diego, with an opportunity to be part of a large onboarding group. Responsibilities Process a high volume of daily orders into a database or order management system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the order lifecycle. Manage both inbound phone calls and email inquiries, providing professional and patient customer service across multiple channels. Identify and resolve order discrepancies quickly and accurately to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Navigate customer frustrations and resolve order problems effectively, especially during the implementation of new systems. Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information and adhere to structured, process-driven workflows. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with high-volume order processing and management systems. Proven customer service experience, managing inquiries via phone and email. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail to prevent errors impacting fulfillment. Ability to work efficiently in a structured, process-driven environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field preferred. 12 years of experience in customer service or order administration. Experience in the life sciences or biotechnology industry preferred. Professional demeanor and effective phone etiquette. Work Environment Work onsite in San Diego with a hybrid schedule, working remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Shifts vary, with start times between 6:00 am and 8:30 am, and end times between 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm. The environment is fast-paced and high-volume, focused on order management, requiring strict confidentiality and professionalism. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
