Physicians joining the medical team have the opportunity to contribute to inpatient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the delivery of quality healthcare services.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive inpatient medical care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.Conduct patient evaluations, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop individualized treatment plans.Manage admissions, daily rounds, clinical assessments, and discharge planning.Coordinate care with specialists, emergency medicine physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging examinations.Monitor patient progress, respond to changes in clinical status, and implement appropriate interventions.Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation within the electronic health record.Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and adherence to established clinical guidelines.Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and discharge instructions.Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and support efficient patient throughput and transitions of care.QualificationsMD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, subject to hospital credentialing requirements.Eligible for an unrestricted New Jersey medical license.Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced hospital environment.Hospitalist or inpatient medicine experience preferred; qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.Pay TransparencySt. Michaels General Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs.
