Travel RN Perioperative Circulator Adult Surgery - $2,135 per week

Job Description & Requirements Position: Travel Nurse RN – Operating Room (OR) – Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Specialty: OR – Operating Room Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12‑hour days Employment Type: Travel Estimated pay package based on bill rate at the time the job was posted. General Description The Perioperative Circulator is an RN who plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or self‑care abilities are potentially compromised during operative or other invasive procedures. Using clinical knowledge, judgment, and evidence‑based reasoning, the perioperative nurse plans and implements nursing care to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual responses of patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures. Essential Responsibilities Direct and indirect provision of professional nursing care for patients in the operating room. Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered within the perioperative environment using the nursing process. Individualize patient care according to patients’ health status, age level, and surgery/procedure being performed. General Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Skills & Experience Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an acute operating room environment. Employees with less than one (1) year of acute OR experience may substitute with completion of department orientation or an RN residency program. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. Excellent understanding of AORN Standards. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing specialized care. Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board‑Approved Program preferred. Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations Required Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
