The CPS Solutions, LLC Specialty Clinical Informatics fellowship program is intended for a post graduate Doctor of Pharmacy Graduate motivated to advance their knowledge in informatics, technology and outcome data analytics through hands on experience and collaboration with subject matter experts. The scope of the fellowship learning experience includes the application of contemporary data analytic techniques to evaluate patient outcomes in a specialty pharmacy environment. You will focus on developing and updating clinical assessments and care plans to facilitate clinical best practices in drug therapy management to achieve targeted outcomes. You will also work with Data Analytics team in gathering and analyzing drug information to develop outcome analytics reports and value stories of care management programs. This is a 12-month position only. Additional time may be added as needed and will be determined by the end of the term. The Pharmacy Fellowship is a 12-month, full-time program with candidates working a minimum of 40 hours per week Monday - Friday and occasional weekends as needed. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities: Clinical Development and Comprehensive Drug Information Management Develop clinical care management programs to targeted therapy outcomes for specialty, rare and orphan disease states treated with biotech, specialty pharmaceuticals Research about the disease state(s) and relevant information necessary for the program development Demonstrate understanding of basic population-based health principles, standards, treatment guidelines and best practices' Gather requirements and analyze patient population data to meet the needs and achieve the program development goals Collaborate with departmental and/or interdisciplinary teams in the design, implementation, and/or enhancement of the organization's criteria for appropriate medication use management Increase knowledge about patient care management of the specific disease patient population to address the gaps or unmet clinical needs Design clinical assessment questions and protocols to facilitate clinical best practices in managing patients undergone specialty drug therapies Develop and provide training to internal and external customers about conducting clinical care management, identify clinical intervention opportunities and perform interventions that incorporates structural and process of care indicators to improve health outcomes Plan, conduct and manage a longitudinal research project while interacting with specialty pharmacy clinicians and outcome research clinicians Clinical Knowledge Delivery and Data Analytics Gain and demonstrate knowledge about the clinical care and reporting platform, its functionalities and how it delivers clinical knowledge to its consumers Demonstrate the mechanism of conducting clinical informatics of specialty care management Collaborate with Product Management and Technical Development professionals to develop system features and functionalities to deploy clinical care management tasks that foster patient self-assessment and management Identify differences in the primary measures of outcome associated with outcomes research and decide with analytical method for these outcomes are appropriate. Required Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited college or university (PharmD Preferred) Licensure in good standing as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice; willingness to reciprocate Ability to understand how data collection is structured to ensure accurate reporting Ability to be extremely detail‑oriented with a high degree of accuracy when working with data and configuration standards Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Proven effective interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written Proven knowledge and experience are necessary to provide oversight of specialty medication regimens and associated disease states Preferred Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Post-graduate pharmacy residency (PGY1) or equivalent training *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $55,000 to $100,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
