Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered care to an adult medical-surgical population with primary diagnoses including pneumonia, heart failure, cardiac conditions, encephalopathy, infections, wounds, AKI, and stroke/TIA
• Perform thorough patient assessments and apply strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using electronic health record systems
• Float to similar med/surg departments as needed based on unit staffing requirements
• Participate in on-call and call-back responsibilities as discussed and agreed upon
• Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements as needed by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Highly adaptable with the ability to manage change and perform effectively in high-acuity settings
• Must be a non-local candidate (travel assignment; local candidates are not eligible)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Prior experience floating between med/surg or similar acute care departments
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in collaborative, team-oriented nursing environments
