Job Title Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Float Pool) Location Colorado Springs, CO (Zone-based float covering up to a 60-mile radius, including locations in Pueblo and Canon City, CO) Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite | Travel / Float Pool Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care across multiple PCU/IMC units covering specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Renal, Ortho, Trauma, ED Observation, Bariatrics, Rehab, and General Surgery, among others Titrate and manage cardiac drips and infusions including dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amiodarone, ativan, insulin, and heparin Float throughout an assigned geographic zone, adapting to varying unit assignments which may be communicated 1–2 hours prior to shift start (Just-In-Time scheduling) Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4 depending on patient acuity, with support from nurse aides Operate and monitor RT equipment including ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP as needed Adhere to scheduling requirements including weekend shifts (6–9 per 6-week schedule) and potential holiday rotation participation Required Qualifications Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility) Minimum 2 years of PCU / IMC / Stepdown experience Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Demonstrated experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and ativan administration and titration Ability to float within a 60-mile zone radius; reliable transportation and valid driver's license required Must be available and present in state for the full week of orientation Preferred Experience / Skills Prior experience in a neuro PCU or neuro stepdown setting Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system Experience floating across multiple acuity levels including ICU (low-acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry Why Join Us Gain broad clinical exposure across a wide range of specialties and patient populations in a dynamic float pool environment with schedules released 4–6 weeks in advance Work within a structured float zone supported by designated charge nurses and nurse aides, offering variety and professional growth throughout your contract Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 769651.
