Leading automotive manufacturer in Auburn Hills seeks MACHINE REPAIR/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to keep advanced production equipment and automated systems running safely and at peak performance.

Job Description

Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated production machinery.
Dismantle equipment to access, remove, and replace worn or defective drive mechanisms, hydraulic components, and piping.
Realign and adjust critical mechanical components, including spindles and clutches.
Set up and operate toolroom machinery (lathes, drill presses, grinders) to fabricate or repair replacement parts.
Perform routine modifications to computer-controlled automation systems.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and keep accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of related mechanical/hydraulic maintenance experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, and basic metalworking tools.
Basic understanding of automated equipment and PLC motion adjustments.
Ability to read safety rules, operating manuals, and technical instructions.
Must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.
