Responsibilities

Coordinate with structural engineer to design buildings, building foundations, equipment foundations, masonry structures, and miscellaneous concrete and steel structures
• Develop and maintain structural Revit models and construction documents while coordinating with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and process disciplines.
• Evaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information and coordinating design criteria with other disciplines
• Develop structural material take-offs
• Provide quality oversight for structural designs performed by others when necessary
• Ability to check work developed by others when necessary
• When necessary, assist the lead engineer/designer as a point of contact for the structural discipline when meeting with the project manager, other discipline leads, and the client
• Assit in the training and mentoring of less experienced designers
• Assist with developing structural discipline hour estimates

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience working on various structural projects with an emphasis on industrial/manufacturing projects
• Ability to interpret and coordinate structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and process drawings for existing and new industrial facilities
• Experience supporting industrial manufacturing facilities, metals facilities, processing plants, power facilities, material handling systems, or similar heavy industrial projects
• Experience preparing and coordinating structural models and construction documents for building and equipment foundations, and steel-framed structures
• Experience coordinating structural designs with process, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines
• Demonstrated proficiency using Revit for structural modeling and construction document production, with a minimum of one year of experience
• Experience using Bluebeam Revu for drawing reviews, QA/QC checking, markups, and multidisciplinary coordination
• Experience using Navisworks for clash detection, model review, and multidisciplinary coordination
• Ability to work in a team environment with engineers and senior designers
• Proficient in using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Ability to perform field/site visits as needed
• Ability to travel up to 5% as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of applicable structural engineering codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318, and relevant industrial design practices
• Experience working with AutoCAD is a plus
