Job Summary

AAC is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to develop and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for multiple high-priority agency projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing skills, experience gathering requirements from stakeholders, and the ability to produce clear, compliant procurement documents. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with Medicaid Systems leadership and contribute to projects that support healthcare services across South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and draft RFPs using templates for multiple complex projects.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and missing information.
• Create and document project scope, technical requirements, staffing needs, deliverables, and procurement criteria.
• Review and document business requirements and agency needs.
• Define mandatory requirements, evaluation criteria, formatting standards, and submission guidelines.
• Collaborate with leadership and project teams to ensure RFP completeness and compliance.
• Assist management with procurement and compliance-related documentation.
• Update and maintain procurement documents throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of technical writing experience , including development of structured business or technical documentation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting government or public-sector procurements.
• Experience working with state agencies.
• Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Visio, Access, and other project management tools.
• Experience in Medicaid, healthcare systems, or healthcare claims processing projects.
