Bayside Chevy/Toyota in Prince Frederick, MD is in search of an experienced Automotive Parts Advisor. If you have either automotive dealership or retail experience we want you to apply. Essential Functions
• Look up accurate part numbers, pricing, and availability for internal and external customers.
• Refer to parts manuals, in both hard copy and electronic format, to identify the correct part for the make, model, and year of the vehicle being serviced.
• Assist the service department in building parts and labor quotes using the catalog and manufacturer parts databases.
• Handle customer complaints immediately and in accordance with dealership guidelines.
• Process all parts invoices and packing slips, verifying that prices and quantities are correct and clearly indicated, and forward them to the accounting department in a timely manner.
• Track all incoming and outgoing parts.
• Check in parts orders from manufacturers’ overnight deliveries.
• Handle shipping and receiving for UPS and FedEx deliveries, and determine each package’s final destination.
• Package and ship parts back to the manufacturer as needed, and complete the appropriate recordkeeping.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• At least one year of automotive parts experience.
• A working knowledge of computers, including but not limited to internet research, Excel, Word, and parts catalog software.
• An openminded individual who knows how to improvise when needed.
• A selfmotivated individual with strong attention to detail.
• A resultsoriented individual who enjoys working in a fastpaced environment.
• A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in an automotive dealership environment and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, oils and solvents, fumes or airborne particles, varying temperatures, and wet or humid conditions. The noise level in the shop areas can be loud at times.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will frequently be required to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position. Work hours must be flexible and include some Saturday's based on a rotating schedule.
