Position Overview

The Inpatient Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) at United Health Services (UHS) provides compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment and management of complex oncologic conditions. Guided by UHS values of Trust, Compassion, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation, the Oncology RN supports patients and families through all phases of the cancer journey, including treatment, symptom management, and supportive care.

Primary Department, Division, or Unit:
MT5 Med-Surg Oncology, UHS Wilson Medical Center

Primary Work Shift:
Evening Rotational

Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours:
24

Compensation Range:
$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience

Sign-on Incentive:
Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Current NYS RN License

Preferred:

• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
• Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
