Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.Your ImpactAs a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and complete revenue and cost accounting in accordance with applicable accounting standards. You will work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Technology teams to support the monthly close, analyze revenue trends, strengthen internal controls, and improve processes. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys applying technical accounting expertise, analytical thinking, and collaboration to drive high-quality financial reporting.Work LocationHybrid Presence based in our Boston office. This role follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that connection fuels innovation, and our in-office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork, mentorship, and shared success.What You’ll DoDevelop a strong understanding of the end-to-end order-to-cash process and how upstream activities impact revenue recognition and financial reportingPerform monthly and quarterly analytical reviews to ensure revenue and related accounts are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting standardsPrepare and record journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, and related accountsPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Professional Services, Operations, FP&A, and IT to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and accurate reportingSupport the design, enhancement, and maintenance of reporting and analytics related to revenue and related metricsAssist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysisEnsure compliance with internal controls, including execution of key SOX controls and documentation of processesSupport internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanationsContribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancementsAssist with special projects and ad hoc analyses as neededWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred2–5+ years of accounting experience, with revenue accounting experience strongly preferredExperience in a SaaS, technology, or services-based business environment is a plusStrong understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 experience preferred)Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Product, Legal, and Professional Services teamsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesComfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving processesAdvanced Excel skills; experience with data analytics tools, ERP systems, or revenue automation tools is a plusSelf-starter who can work independently while also collaborating effectively within a teamAbility to influence, build consensus, and drive continuous improvementBenefits that Benefit YouCompetitive salary and 401k with employer matchDiscretionary paid time offPaid parental leave for allMedical, Dental, Vision plansFitness ProgramsEmotional & Mental Wellness supportLearning & Development programsAnd yes, we have snacks in our officesBenefits listed herein may vary depending on the nature of your employment and the location where you work.Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards.
