Schedule

Weekend Call: Friday 3:00 PM-Monday 6:00 AM

Approximately 1 Weekend Every 5 Weeks

Saturday and Sunday Rounding Required

Potential Future Need for 7-Day Coverage Blocks

Provider Interest in Future 7-Day Coverage Should Be Noted at Presentation

Provide Gastroenterology Call Coverage

Round on the Gastroenterology Service Saturday and Sunday

Manage Gastroenterology Consultations

Respond to Calls From Patients, Emergency Department, and Hospitalist Team

Hospitalist Provides First Call

Provide Bread-and-Butter Gastroenterology Care

Perform Required Endoscopic Procedures

Upper Endoscopy

Lower Endoscopy

Colonoscopy

General Gastroenterology Procedures

EUS - Preferred

ERCP - Preferred

Clinical Environment / Support

Hospital-Based Call Coverage

Solo Gastroenterologist

No APP Support

Hospitalist Provides First Call

Epic EMR

Requirements

Board Certified in Gastroenterology - Required

Active Massachusetts Medical License - Required

Candidates Requiring Licensure Will Not Be Accepted

DEA Registration - Required

BLS - Required

Minimum of 1 Year of Experience - Required

Epic Experience - Required
