Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered respiratory care within a supportive environment that upholds professional respiratory therapy standards. Care practices align with the AARC Code of Ethics, regional respiratory care regulations, and evidence-based guidelines. Demonstrate expertise in respiratory assessments, treatment modalities, life support certifications, critical thinking, and prioritization. Essential Responsibilities:

• Assessment a. Conduct thorough, age-appropriate assessments and reassessments. b. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to gather comprehensive medical histories and document findings per unit protocols.
• Diagnosis a. Identify actual or potential physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, infection control, environmental, and educational needs. b. Prioritize patient care based on assessment data. c. Interpret findings to develop patient and family education plans.
• Planning/Outcome a. Work with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and discharge or transfer strategies. b. Create individualized care and education plans grounded in standards of practice to achieve optimal outcomes. c. Adjust plans based on patient condition changes and input from patients and families.
• Implementation a. Deliver age-specific care aligned with established plans and patient priorities. b. Apply evidence-based interventions tailored to diagnoses. c. Utilize community resources to support care plans and facilitate access. d. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to execute care plans.
• Evaluation a. Assess the effectiveness of respiratory interventions. b. Monitor patient responses relative to expected outcomes. c. Evaluate responses to other healthcare interventions. d. Modify care plans based on ongoing evaluations. e. Assess patient and family understanding and response to education.

Education and Experience: - Graduate of a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program. - Associate Degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Licensure and Certifications: - Active Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care. - Licensed Respiratory Care Provider by the appropriate state health professions bureau.

Work Shift: 1st Shift, part-time (24 hours weekly) in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
