GRILL  COOK

Automation Personnel Services is looking for an experienced  GRILL  COOK for a large hospital cafeteria in Mobile, AL. In this role you will primarily be responsible for preparing grilled menu items according to established menu and recipes.  You will help prepare meals and need to be versatile in all roles in the kitchen. This is a great position with long-term opportunities and excellent hours.

Pay Rate

$14.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours

Cafeteria Hours are 5a-7p

Shifts and days will vary

Grill  Cook   Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following established recipes, dietary guidelines, and nutritional requirements for patients, staff, and visitors. 

• Accurately measure and portion foods to ensure consistency, proper serving sizes, and to minimize waste.  

• Adhere strictly to federal, state, and hospital food safety regulations, including proper storage, labeling, food rotation (FIFO), and cross-contamination prevention.

• Regularly clean and sanitize grills, utensils, workstations, and equipment to maintain a safe environment for vulnerable patients.

Grill Cook Qualifications and Requirements  

•  Able to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts common in cafeteria operations.

• Being on time for scheduled shifts is crucial to employment

• 25lb lift throughout workday (in-office assessment will be conducted)

• Background Check and Drug Screen will be performed for this position

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocol
